Ham in Coca Cola = success! I was YUM-MY! Nom nom nom, it was so good that 3 of us almost completely demolished a 2kg chuck of ham
There was a big lump of fat that I didn’t realise was on the size, when I removed the skin before glazing it, so that was probably between 1/4 & 1/3 of it, but hell, the rest of it? We ate it!
The salads worked really well too, and dessert? MMmmmm mmM! My meringues worked super well (really soft inside when they were just cool last night, with a harder shell today), the cream was whipped lovely and the berries? Great! THe strawberries didn’t unfreeze well, and we weren’t able to have them. I’m also now stuck (such a harsh word) with two punnets of very soggy strawberries! Not quite sure what to do with them. Strawberry sauce for ice cream? I’m thinking strawberry milkshakes too. Think they’re too soggy to use in baking, but mushing them up to put in something like that might work. Any ideas?
